The Canadian philosopher Marshall McLuhan famously said;
“We become what we behold. We shape our tools and then our tools shape us.”
This is especially true with audio plugins. Poorly designed tools make us works harder to get results, they frustrate us, and sometimes because we anticipate the slog and effort required it discourages us from using them altogether.
Well designed tools enable us to work faster, and maybe more importantly, they inspire us to try new things.
All our designs are conceived from a new vantage point, we ask the questions;
How would we do this in an ideal world?
What steps can we eliminate to get to the point faster?
Which processes can we combine together to form a synergy which propels us forward?
